Frequently Asked Questions

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo. It uses a kitchen timer to break work into intervals — traditionally 25 minutes — separated by short breaks. Each interval is called a "pomodoro" (Italian for tomato). After four Pomodoros, you take a longer break of 15-30 minutes. This method helps maintain focus and fight procrastination.

25 minutes was found to be an optimal balance between focus and fatigue. It's short enough to maintain concentration but long enough to make meaningful progress on a task. However, feel free to customize the duration to what works best for you — some people prefer 50-minute or 90-minute focus sessions.
